SmartFriends U
The focus is unique. ≤50, smart friendly people at a weekend retreat. Cell phones won't work, but there will be Wifi sharing of a sat dish uplink. Expect email-grade connectivity. Like WWDC, the focus is practical and immediate-to-near-term. Like MacHack, you're getting the real story from the folks that are either advancing the technology themselves or in the trenches with it. Unlike WWDC, the format is small and the focus is not Apple-specific. Unlike MacHack, there's a greater focus on low-hanging stealth technologies that are waiting to be snatched up. I'll be presenting "Skeptics Introduction to Objective-C". Yes, this is the same title as my CAWUG presentation, but the presentation itself will be a mash between it and my PSIG presentation, skewed towards the C++ crowd.
