PSIG 2^5: Thursday April 8th, 2000
Location: The NorthWest of Us Office
Attendance: 5
After going over what's been going on since we last met, I did a presentation on Carbon. Carbon is the traditional Mac Toolbox, plus or minus few data structures and function calls. In exchange for modifying your existing Pascal, C or C++ Macintosh program, you get back preemptive multitasking, protected memory and the slick Aqua User Interface.
For the presentation, I took some old Apple sample code (circa 1989) and carbonated it, showing off what exactly needs to be done.
