PSIG 16: Thursday August 6, 1998
Attendance: 5 I did a session on automatic code generation. I planned to cover TypeIt4Me, C #defines, AppleScripts, C++ templates and the C++ STL (Standard Template Library. However, I got in Tuesday from out of town and proceeded to consult for a guy all day Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday was spent just returning calls and email. Come Thursday's PSIG, I had no time to prepare my session. I thought I could just make it up as I went along, but I quickly became incoherent as topics became recursive. Then my AppleScripts wouldn't work. I didn't even make it to templates nor STL. All in all, a very poor presentation. On the upside, a bunch of PSIG members went to MacHack, and I brought along the MacHack CD, which entertained us. In addition, I got a better name for the BBEdit plugin I've been working on. I've been toying with SiteLogic, OuttaSite and PageScript. The first was blah, the second too 70s and the final too Adobe-ish. So now it's "Whose Tag Is It Anyway?". Thursday, August 06, 1998
