Why I Attend MacHack
Thanks to the Internet, I stay in continuous contact with the folks I know from MacHack. Even though, I still greatly anticipate MacHack each year. There are somethings about MacHack that the Internet can't fulfill:
- On the Internet, you time-slice connections with others, and they do so with you. MacHack is like having a dedicated line. They're all there with you, for 72+ continuous hours.
- Very Smart People work Very Hard to whip up presentations and papers about the things they think are cool. They share that excitement and knowledge. We all grow, we all get better.
- Ultra-high bandwidth communication. You can speak to others very rapidly, about very technical/obscure topics, with much less flow control than is required in normal life.
