CAWUG: August 2003 Meeting

Cocoa and WebObjects User Group
When:
Tuesday, August 26th, 2003 @ 6pm
(Alex Johnson's iCal: view subscribe).
Where:
Apple's Chicago Office
10 S. Wacker, 33rd Floor
corner of Wacker & Madison St.
1 block East of Nothwestern train station
Agenda:
• Introductions & Announcements

• Jonathan 'Wolf' Rentzsch on "Skeptic's Introduction to ObjC".
I provide a Skeptic's introduction to Objective-C. Join a nonbeliever who actively resisted learning the language, as I enumerate Objective-C's faults in blistering detail. However, you'll also learn what Objective-C gets incredibly right, and what makes it part of the best rapid advanced application building experience on the planet.

• WWDC -- any public miscellany that we are allowed to discuss.

• Due to great public demand, we'll be making a kitchen out of one of the developer examples that Apple ships (we'll pick one at the meeting) and discuss what's interesting about that example.

We will, as usual, also have Q & A and pizza, a discussion of future meeting topics and dates. We are very thankful to Kiwi Internet Group for the pizza, the list-serve, and other resources they have provided to support this group.
