C4 Vaporware

I needed to go heads-down the week after C4[0] to save a drowning client. Consequently I’m in email debt, with a ~250 real-message backlog. So if you’ve mailed and I haven’t replied yet, it’s not because I don’t like you. Unless you’re Canadian and can’t keep a secret.

Until I can dig out completely, I offer distraction by regaling you with tales of vaporware. That is, things to talk about that I’m not ready to deliver yet:

C4 Video: I can see by scanning my subject lines a lot of you are wondering what’s up with the video. It’s in the works, but it’s at least a month out. I think the audio is ready to go, and Bob Frank is importing the MiniDV tapes in his copious free time. Then we need production time.

Feedback Spam: After I get my email under control again, I plan on spamming attendees asking for your feedback. I’ve already received a good amount of unsolicited feedback, which is a great sign. Folks are enthused.

C4[1]: It’s on the roadmap:

C4[1].date = wwdc07+(60*86400);

Roughly. Watch out for rounding errors: I only have like three bits in my mantissa.
